In 2020, it’s about enjoying lovely plant-based food and it’s a great chance to do some cooking at home, though judging by the difficult of getting flour, a lot of people are baking lockdown away.

National Vegetarian Week has 7 comforting meals with a plant based twist to try – you just download the recipe cards and get cooking!

There are plenty of ways to join in online – you can find these on the events’ Do More page.

Eating more plant based food is a great way to help both the environment and animals and the Vegetarian Society and Vegan Society both have lots of information on their websites about going vegetarian or going vegan.

In the UK alone, over two million land animals are slaughtered daily and almost 600,000 tonnes of fish are killed each year.

Find out why to go vegetarian

There’s even info on vegetarian food for pets!

Why not sign up for the Vegetarian Society’s newsletter?
