Donkeys

  • The Donkey Sanctuary - their vision is a world where every donkey has a good quality of life
  • SPANA - Spana's goal is  to improve the welfare of working animals in vulnerable communities across the world: treat, train, treat
  • The Brooke reaches 1.5 million working horses, donkeys and mules in Africa, Asia and Latin America. 
  • Safe Haven for Donkeys operate in Gaza, the West Bank and now Egypt.  They have a sanctuary in Israel caring for about 180 donkeys, a rescue centre in the West Bank, and three mobile clinics working across the West Bank, as well as a permanent clinic in the Palestinian city of Nablus.   Advice and education are key parts of their work.  They also have provides mobile vet clinics six days a week in the kilns in Egypt.
  • Animal Aid Abroad Inc partners with local animal welfare groups in developing countries to provide free veterinary care to sick and injured working animals. It works with communities to improve animal welfare through education and training. 
  • Egypt Equine Aid, an Australian-registered charity founded in July 2014, dedicated to improving the welfare of working horses and donkeys in Cairo, Egypt.

  • Gambia Horse and Donkey Trust partners with local animal welfare groups in many developing countries to provide free veterinary care to sick and injured working animals, as well as working with communities to improve animal welfare through education and training.
