Where will volunteering fit into your life?

There are all sorts of ways to volunteer and make a difference, and much depends on the time you're willing to make available and the sort of commitment you want to make.

So think about what sort of involvement you want - here are some examples:

  • Regular commitment where you turn up on a regular basis to help care for animals
  • One-offs e.g. a volunteer holiday, volunteer weekend, attending an event
  • Daily commitments from home, e.g. feed the birds in your garden
  • Monthly commitments financially e.g. making a monthly donation to your cause through a standing order or direct debit etc
  • Willingness to make a lifestyle change e.g. giving up plastic water bottles, or eating more vegetarian food
  • Following your chosen charity on social media and trying to spread the word and build up interest among your friends and followers
  • A one off challenge e.g. running a (half) marathon
