Tonight (25 November 2019) at 9pm, Liz Bonnin reveals how our demand for meat is putting the planet in danger.
There are now over 400 million more cows than there were 50 years ago – and they all produce methane. In fact they produce so much, they produce more greenhouse gases than all of transport together.
I haven’t seen any trailers etc to this programme but I hope they also take a look at how the human population has grown in 50 years into account.
This growth has consequences...
For example, more people = more demand for meat (and everything else, for that matter) = more forest burnt to the ground for agriculture/cattle ranching = more biodiversity lost.
